📘 Required Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Education:

    • A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, or other finance-related fields.

  • Experience:

    • 1 year of experience for Degree holders.

    • 2 years of relevant experience for Diploma holders.

  • NGO Experience:

    • Prior experience working in an NGO setting is highly desirable.

    • A clear understanding of project-based funding and donor compliance regulations.

    • Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word.

    • Fluency in Amharic and English, both written and verbal.

🔍 Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Finance Assistant at Save the Children, you will be entrusted with ensuring transparent and efficient financial operations in support of field activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing payments, disbursements, and reconciliations in compliance with organizational guidelines.
  • Assisting with monthly financial reporting and budget tracking for ongoing projects.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation of transactions and effective record keeping.
