Position Title
Junior Quality and Safety Assurance Officer
Educational Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following qualification criteria:
Option 1:
- BSc Degree in Food Science, Biology, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in food services, food quality assurance, or as a cook, with documented knowledge of HACCP and GMP standards.
Option 2:

Foreign Dish Cooking

Ethiopian Cultural Food Preparation

Confectionery, Baking, and Pastry Making

Or other related fields

- Minimum of 4 years experience in food service or food quality assurance, with hands-on practice aligned with HACCP and GMP protocols.
Age Limit
Applicants must be aged between 18 and 35 years, inclusive.
Language Requirement
- Proficiency in English is mandatory as it is the working language of Ethiopian Airlines.

Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Quality and Safety Assurance Officer, the successful candidate will:
- Monitor the implementation of food safety protocols across the catering division.
- Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas and ensure HACCP & GMP compliance.
- Work closely with food handlers to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation.
- Assist in internal quality audits, identifying non-conformities and following up on corrective actions.
- Participate in staff training on food safety awareness, cleaning procedures, and contamination control.
- Ensure all food storage, handling, and transportation processes align with international safety guidelines.
- Support documentation processes, ensuring all records related to quality control are accurate and up to date.
