🎯 Key Responsibilities of the Sales Representative Role
As a Sales Representative, you will play a central role in building and sustaining Heineken’s presence in your assigned territory. Your daily tasks will focus on retail engagement, execution of sales strategies, and ensuring Heineken remains the top beverage choice for consumers.
🔹 Direct Retail Visits and Sales Execution
You will be responsible for visiting retailers on a daily basis, actively selling Heineken products, and ensuring monthly and quarterly sales targets are met or exceeded. This includes showcasing Heineken’s premium product offerings and educating retailers on their benefits.
🔹 Distributor & Inventory Management
Building and maintaining strong relationships with distributors is a key responsibility. You’ll work closely with local distributors to ensure inventory is properly managed, avoiding stockouts and excess. This means conducting regular stock checks, placing timely orders, and optimizing the supply chain at the retail level.
🔹 Marketing Implementation and Visibility Enhancement
Sales Representatives will be expected to implement marketing schemes, launch promotional campaigns, and ensure Heineken's visibility is maximized in every outlet. This includes installing Point of Sale (POS) materials, banners, and displays that capture attention and drive sales.
🔹 Product Placement Optimization
Ensuring that products are well-positioned within the outlets is critical to customer choice. You'll be in charge of strategically placing Heineken products to ensure maximum exposure and improved customer access.
🔹 Reporting and Customer Relationship Management
Prepare accurate and timely reports that highlight sales trends, retailer feedback, and distributor challenges. In parallel, build long-lasting relationships with retail customers to drive loyalty and increase repeat business.
📚 Qualifications & Requirements
To succeed in this role, Heineken Ethiopia is looking for motivated individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
🔸 Experience
- 0 to 2 years of experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
- Prior experience in sales, marketing, or customer-facing roles is an added advantage.
- Candidates must be fluent in the local language spoken in their base town.
🔸 Education
- A BA or BSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Economics, or a related field is required.
