This role is ideal for professionals passionate about public health , project management , and community impact . As the Program Coordinator , you will lead all aspects of the Cancer Awareness & Support Project, ensuring effective implementation, coordination, and evaluation of activities.
π― Key Responsibilities
π Program Management
- Develop and manage quarterly and annual work plans.
- Oversee implementation of program activities including medical support, child education, and elderly care.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality and alignment with project goals.
π€ Partnership & Stakeholder Coordination
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies like the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Women and Social Affairs, Tikur Anbessa Hospital, civil society organizations (CSOs), and schools.
- Draft and manage Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).
- Represent the foundation in policy dialogues and national forums.
π° Budget & Finance
- Collaborate with the finance team to monitor budgets.
- Ensure cost-effective implementation and resolve budget variances.
π Project Development & Fundraising
- Design new programs and initiatives.
- Write compelling donor proposals and pitch ideas to potential funders.
- Mobilize in-kind donations such as school supplies and medical equipment.
π Monitoring & Evaluation
- Track progress using M&E tools and frameworks.
- Lead baseline, midterm, and final evaluations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and document best practices and success stories.
π§π Who We’re Looking For
π Education
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Project Management, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree is preferred.
⏳ Experience
- Minimum 5 years (with Master's) or 7 years (with Bachelor’s) of experience in project coordination.
- Prior experience in multi-sectoral programming (health, education, social protection) is a plus.
- Experience in donor engagement and grant writing is highly desirable.
π» Technical Skills
- Knowledge of cancer care and community-based programs .
- Familiarity with gender-sensitive approaches and working with vulnerable groups.
- Proficiency in budgeting, monitoring & evaluation, digital tools, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Excellent spoken and written skills in English, Amharic, and Afan Oromo.
